About Del Cid Coffee

Del Cid Coffee is a family-owned coffee company rooted in seven generations of farming at Finca Del Cid in Guatemala. As the first Zero Trade Coffee™, the business controls every step of the supply chain—from plant to roast—ensuring full transparency, traceability, and fairness. The Del Cid family grows and processes specialty-grade coffee with deep care, cultural heritage, and technical expertise. By connecting U.S. coffee drinkers directly to the source, they are closing the disconnect between consumer and farmer while preserving the authenticity of the coffee experience. Every bag of Del Cid Coffee invites you to see, smell, and taste the journey from fruit to cup.

Founder Story

Herceny Del Cid is the visionary behind Del Cid Coffee, a first-generation entrepreneur who turned her family’s legacy into a mission for justice and connection. Guatemala-born to coffee farmers and raised in the U.S., she grew up watching her parents send money back to sustain farms that once kept them in poverty. She always questioned how coffee could sell for dollars a cup while farmers, like her family, were excluded from the system that profited off their labor. That question became her fuel—driving her to study every piece of the coffee supply chain, from soil health to roasting, over nearly five years. Herceny’s leadership blends courage, innovation, and deep cultural empathy, turning Del Cid Coffee into a platform for dignity, equity, and storytelling.
